Our aim is to equip children with the understanding of maths principles, not just the methods involved.
Key Stage 3
We provide support for pupils in Key Stage 3 maths; giving them not only the skills, but also the confidence to be successful.
Areas covered tailored to the needs of the child are:
- Number
- Algebra
- Geometry and measure
- Handling data
Key Stage 4 (GCSE and iGCSE)
At KS4, children often struggle to make the adjustment needed without the underlying skills. We ensure any gaps in understanding are addressed before moving on to:
- Calculator and non-calculator skills
- Mathematical reasoning
- Problem-solving
- Evaluating and interpreting
Each programme for Key Stage 3, iGCSE and GCSE is tailored to suit the individual child’s needs, which is designed following a 30-minute consultation with the pupil and their parent/guardian.
Key Stage 3
At KS3, the basic foundations of science knowledge are set. By combining inquisitive minds and practical fun we believe a love of all things science can be fostered.
The fundamentals of biology, chemistry and physics, including safe practical experiments can be covered.
Key Stage 4 (GCSE and iGCSE)
Whatever path your child is on at KS4, we can design a programme specifically for them. With experience as an exam marker, as well as over 15 years in the classroom, stimulating and varied lessons are provided that enable the child to grow in knowledge and confidence.
These include:
- Calculation and mathematical skills for science
- Long answer question skills
- Graph analysis
- Evaluating
